A lot of people want to know about making money through blogging, is it possible, is it easy, how can one learn to do it, and so on.

Actually, it is very possible, and very easy to learn. There are some requirements though; you aren't going to be very likely to make money from a personal blog about your life and what you get up to, unless you already have a huge following and interest, which isn't likely.

On the flip side, if you can blog about something that interests you, and also interests other people, then you can easily make money off that blog. Anything online that gets traffic, that is, visitors, can earn money. It is really that simple.

Well there is more to making money online than just writing about something interesting. You need to be able to get people to read your blog first of all. You can do that by writing something unique and interesting, and getting yourself ranked on page one or two of the major search engines, as well as being relatively active with social media like Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. With this in mind, you don't want to write about something with a huge amount of competition, like "Cats", but you can narrow it down and write about something very specific, like "Raising Cats From Kitten in the US" or go even more specific. The point is, the less competition you have, the more traffic you will receive. It is better to be a big fish in a small pond, than a small fish in a large pond.

Ok, I Found Something To Write About, I Get Visitors Every Day, What Now?

Now that you have found something specific and "niche" to write about, and you are building your blog and getting some traffic, great! that is the hardest part. Monetizing a blog is relatively straightforward. You can join an affiliate program like Amazon Associates and earn commissions when people buy Amazon products via your site. Know a good book about raising kittens? Great! Put an affiliate link to it on your site and receive commissions from Amazon. Know some more products? Great! You can also put some Google ads on your site and earn money when people click on them. Cool huh?

Well, you need to know more about how to do this effectively. I have told you the basic concept of how it is done, but it is up to you to learn more abut the whole process. I would suggest you to get yourself an education in Internet Marketing and begin to learn the ropes. Don't worry, this education will not cost you anything, as there are some very good communities out there offering free support.
